The process of finding a water well is a precise art that requires experience, intuition, and a deep understanding of the land. Here’s how it works:
1. Initial Meeting
When I arrive on your property, we will walk through the area together to discuss potential well locations. I will then begin dowsing, marking possible drilling sites as I find them.
2. Identifying Drilling Locations
As I walk, the rod helps me sense underground water sources. Once a location feels right, I’ll mark it clearly with stakes numbered 1, 2, and 3. Number 1 will indicate the best option, though occasionally, two spots may be marked as the prime choices.
3. Why Presence is Key
It’s essential for someone to be present when setting the drill rig to ensure the correct spot is drilled. This is the most accurate step in the process.
4. Payment and Scheduling
Payment for the dowsing service will be agreed upon when we schedule the job, which will also include any mileage costs for travel.
5. Duration of the Process
The dowsing process usually takes 1 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the area and the complexity of the search.
6. Weather Conditions
Rain or shine, I can still search for underground water sources. The conditions do not affect my ability to perform this essential work.
